Cycorder v0.9-4 | Published by Jay Freeman (saurik) | Via Cydia | Free | Released: 9-05-08

What’s New In This Version

Jay Freeman unleashed the latest version of Cycorder on Friday, September 5, and it now includes audio! You may remember our previous review of Cycorder and how we heaped praise on the free app available from Cydia’s creator.

There’s no need to stop lavishing praise now. It’s simply the best video recorder available for the iPhone to date. With the latest release of 0.9-4, Freeman has added the following features:

  • Audio
  • Colorized Navigation Buttons
  • TV-Out Supported Playback
  • No Autolock when recording

One nifty feature of Cycorder now is that if you exit the app while recording (pressing the home button), it will continue recording! This allows you to check on email or whatever while it’s recording in the background!

Once upon a time, there was an app called iPhone Video Recorder that was the only app around for video on the iPhone. It’s still around, but Cycorder is the only app you’ll need. IVR is overpriced, buggy and produces poor-quality video in comparison to Cycorder which does its encoding on the fly.

What are you waiting for?
